Covering 31,700 acres, Beaver Lake is 70 miles long with 487 miles of natural shoreline.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has constructed a variety of recreational facilities around the lake, including developed parks with modern campsites offering electricity and fire rings with drinking water, showers, and restrooms nearby. Other facilities include picnic sites, swimming beaches, hiking trails, boat launching ramps, sanitary dump stations and group picnic shelters. Commercial marina on the lake offers boat rentals (fishing boats, pontoons, wave runners), fuel, fishing guide info, lake maps and fishing licenses.
